Behind Fleurs

Part of the overwhelming "foodie" percentile, I have been eating at a variety of places particularly last year because I consider it stress relieving to try something new and I am more than happy to practise that. To stay true to finding materials on what I be interested to write about, I took tons of pictures when I remember to. Hi everyone, it's been awhile I know. I am currently in the middle of my trials and we have a day off tomorrow before we finish up another two days of test so I thought I just do some speedy typing and let you all know what's been up in my life. In case you didn't know, places like Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and others are currently weighted in mist and hence they are force to close down schools and the radio is going off about taking precautions as this phenomenon is detrimental to our health. Here in Sabah however seems mostly unaffected though the mountains are a lot harder to spot with a veil of fog or mist. I'm not too sure. Dinner with my friends recently    Sabah is one of many states where diversity of race reigns here. This means we get to enjoy each other's culture and food. I'm Kadazandusun which means I get the best of two traditions; Kadazan and Chinese and I know a lot of people who are part of one tribe and part of another here. So its fun in a conversations with friends. There is always something to learn about another and their cultural ways. Our informal terms like "bah", "kan" and "lah" is something some friends of mine who are new here find interesting and very cool considering it instantly forces the person who you're addressing to familiarize with you in a way that's socially acceptable which is a sure icebreaker here.
