Updates + Big Announcement

I thought I start off how dormant this blog has been with a good ol' update post. Cause there's nothing like going back in the blogger grind than just telling y'all what's been up since the last one. It's been a year since that post so ya girl has went through a whole LOT. I am now finally in my first year of degree, I got into the high committee for my DJ Club, I've been more creative with editing photos (check it out on the gram @twistlist ) and moved to a better apartment where I can finally COOK along with dope housemates. Through all the stress and never ending work I got from school, life honestly has been really good to me and I'm just grateful to be where I am. Won't lie though; I had my dips this past year with adulting, getting things together and balancing it all. Self deprecation is a habit I am trying to curb and not do as often since its sort of my coping mechanism to stress. We are not about that this year, not anymore. I'...

Giving a L

Aside from Valentine's being just another thing used to rob us of our cash and doing something special for our significant other (though you don't need a special occasion as reason to do that), I like to propose a different angle, especially for those who aren't in a relationship. Take this time to be your own special someone. Or to show some love to those in your life like your parents, best friends or anyone special to you outside of romantic means. Valentine's day should not be the reminder that you are or are not dating someone, it should remind you that you have someone in your life who have taught you how to love. Reflect from a love lost in hopes you do better for the ones you still have now. For all the memories and hard lessons. The cradling arms that collected your tears and the joke in the air that gifted you another chance to laugh. Whoever that is, be it others or yourself, take time aside to be kind to them because in a world that is advancing too fa...

OOTD + Quick Update

Inspired by ToThe9's editorial #MinuteOOTDs which you can click here to see the whole playlist, I thought of doing a lil' twist to my usual update posts. Here's a classy ootd that I always have in hand for an adventure type trip like going to the Museum. I have to give credit to Cristy whom I can always count on to take my picture and be down to just spend the day at looking at history and culture exhibitions.  A lot has went down though, since this picture was taken; what with assignments and my recent activities at my Uni's DJ club that I have recently joined. This October is my last month for my 2nd sem and its just been the exam period for me. I'll also be catching a flight back home in November for a bit because my school comes up with just the weirdest schedule for semester breaks. Expect to see some new content that may involve food or even skincare coming your way. I'm also working on reviews for something I haven't review for eons so see if ...

Ongoing

While 2016 past and gone, it made sure to leave behind a lot for me to think over and reassess what I knew and what I thought I knew. I was blessed with brilliant company that not only inspired me but taught me things I am now glad to know. If there was any highlight to it, it definitely be the fact that the overall failing results of my A-level pushed me into realizing where I lack and makes the fact that I'm entering my 20s that more significant. If you been wondering why the first post of 2017 only came out more than 2 months since its started, you can guess by now what I've been up to. I've gained job experiences and got to really gain more insights that inadvertently made me see my situation differently. It sort of felt like I was in a mid life crisis already seeing as I did waste 2 years of my life. There is just so many things I want to do which made it hard to know where to start but I know now that certain things need prioritising first and  made it a resolu...

Updates

It's been a hella long time since the last "updates" post I realized as I was scrolling through my dashboard. Hence, I thought I give you a low down on what's been going on since then and what better time to type this out than on the day I get my A level results! So since graduating from doing A levels, I had to do a lot of independent living because it is inevitable no matter what next step I decide to do. This basically means a lot of adulting like getting a part time job to fill some time and learning how to cook properly (or at least to fill my stomach). I won't go too much into this but might consider doing a more detail post on it another time. July gave me a lot of time to think and contemplate too about myself. I even got to catch up with a ton of some old close friends which I'm pretty grateful for as I got to learn a lot of things about further education so if any of you are reading this; thanks for your funny stories and wisdom, it ...

DIY: Rosewater

If you have been looking up at my hauls, you know I'm a huge fan for skincare and lately I've been more interested in going as natural as I like in my routine. Don't get me wrong, certain chemicals are good for us (e.g. Retinol, Amino Acids and Salicylic Acid just to name a few) too but there is also something very reassuring knowing the products you use are Paraben Free or Alcohol Free and all that. I feel like you're less likely to mess up your skin that way. With that same passion combine with my interest of DIY, I give you: The Rosewater. In one of my previous posts, I have highly praised my Fresh Rose Floral Toner and still do but I'll admit coming into the end of my third bottle that my skin have now adapted to it. It just isn't quite as effective since but I still commend it for keeping any irritation to my skin at bay. It isn't worth getting it anymore given how pricey it was but I still couldn't part from its calming effects so makin...

Food Disclosure

Part of the overwhelming "foodie" percentile, I have been eating at a variety of places particularly last year because I consider it stress relieving to try something new and I am more than happy to practise that. To stay true to finding materials on what I be interested to write about, I took tons of pictures when I remember to. Surprisingly I've garner quite a bit of a gallery over a couple months and I'm excited to share these restaurant faves. Your welcome. Socialize Cafe Spotted as you roll straight into Metro Town, its another addition to the growing cafe and barista industry here in KK. While they mostly offer western food with the usual assortment of coffee and tea varieties, I usually come here for brunch with my family or friends. I highly recommend you go for their breakfast options; my all time must have being the Eggs Benedict dish but you can also have your egg scrambled or sunny side up or poached for its other choices. Coming here after an e...

Beauty Haul+Review

Fulfilling my promise to you guys about some haul I got yeah! I decided to kind of introduce some of the things I got from all my previous trips slowly since using them from several months to a couple years now, I can finally attest to their use and hence I will put in bit by bit so bear with me. With that said lets start with the beginning of my current skincare routine: Fresh Rose Cleansing Foam Starting with the cleansing of the face, I'm not going to lie but ever since Sephora open up here in KK, I have made quite a few splurges since I finished my cleanser and toner that I usually buy from my facialist/esthetician. However her stuff are uber expensive and not really in stores anywhere else. Hence determined to find a cheaper alternative, I was more than excited to venture into what the sales associates (Fun fact: they are actually called "cast members" and the sales floor are the "stage") would recommend. I always went for as natural as I could aff...

Tune Favourites

Hey guys. Just a quick correction from my previous post, its not mist, its a haze. Thanks to my ever loving brother for pointing it out. If there is something wrong with my post for me to check out, really feel free to comment on it! So as I said, lately its been a very laidback weather here and these are the songs that carried me through it. I might not be able to list all but just click here and you can find the rest on my SoundCloud. It's been awhile since the last Tune Favourite  and that means I've been listening a ton. 1. "Here" by Alessia Cara (Lucian Remix) This has been basically the soundtrack for my August and even now I can't but be so floored by this singer's voice. I discovered her from a youtuber I follow and never regretted the decision to subscribe to her Vevo channel. While the original is the stuff, I love how it was remix here and every decision made to create it is so spot on. Do check out her other singles like "I...

Updates

Hi everyone, it's been awhile I know. I am currently in the middle of my trials and we have a day off tomorrow before we finish up another two days of test so I thought I just do some speedy typing and let you all know what's been up in my life. In case you didn't know, places like Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and others are currently weighted in mist and hence they are force to close down schools and the radio is going off about taking precautions as this phenomenon is detrimental to our health. Here in Sabah however seems mostly unaffected though the mountains are a lot harder to spot with a veil of fog or mist. I'm not too sure. Hence days lately seems cool and hardly sunny, in other words it is almost the "perfect nap time" weather here.  For the past month, I've have spent a lot of time meeting friends and new people before my trials. Especially they all came back because they had school break and it was really good to catch up over a meal or a m...

College: The Survival of You

Hi guys, this is my second post to the college collab I'm doing with Denise so be sure to check her out too and lets get this started: 1# It's fine to not be fine I am naturally a more laid back person than hard working. Particularly because I was encouraged a lot to work hard at my studies and being a person who lets reverse psychology work on her, I tend to not heed that advice. This in turn was responded with more severe pressure and nagging that I could not deal and it made me sick and anxious and at one point pretty depress in the worse way. Now with going through a transition where I bear more responsibilities, I find myself really beating myself up. If anything college, pre-uni or university teaches you, its that you'll definitely meet people who are way better than you at the start of your first semester. You may have been top whatever in your high school but its another story in tertiary studies. So it really brought me down when I find I was no where clos...
