Walking on sunshine, CA

Hi guys! This is a post on my trip across California couple days after I've just arrived in Seattle from home. It was a trip my older brother, Melvin, suggested and wanted my Mom and I to join. I decided to split this trip into a few post just to give you all some details on the highlights of this trip. So expect some up coming post but maybe not in order as there are still so much I want to share as well. Okay here we go! I've had always heard about Cali, she's fun, bright and all smiles. Despite the winter weather, Cali gave me the confidence to just bust out in a cotton sweater and jeans alone, no jacket. My only outfit regret is not having the option to walk in sneaks instead of my winter boots. It was like the place was giving me the freedom for more movement, more new outings. This was especially refreshing from the chilly bite in Seattle so obviously I took whatever chance I get to revel in my sun bathing days there. I noticed the small traces of spring. I s...

Shades Of Cool

My friend, Fran (imagine the puns made with her name), and I had conducted couple of photo shoots since last year. Last Saturday was our third shoot till a long time considering we are all mostly likely gonna be busy for a while since graduating form high school. It's also by far the best I had, even considering that our only cameras were her sister's iPhone 4 and my Sony Xperia Z2. Quick note on my smartphone: I wanted to find one with the best camera and this totally fit my criteria of the perfect camera. Its manual function allows me to control ISO, focus on certain objects whilst giving a blur background similar to that of a DSLR and capture amazing details. Basically, I take all my photos with it. For this shoot, we went for a minimalist grunge as the theme. For once we went for something really simple but not understated at all. In their basic apparels, the models, Cristy (left) and Chan Yng (right), wore delicate necklaces and rings provided by me. They shine ...

She's a beauty

Dinner with my friends recently    Sabah is one of many states where diversity of race reigns here. This means we get to enjoy each other's culture and food. I'm Kadazandusun which means I get the best of two traditions; Kadazan and Chinese and I know a lot of people who are part of one tribe and part of another here. So its fun in a conversations with friends. There is always something to learn about another and their cultural ways. Our informal terms like "bah", "kan" and "lah" is something some friends of mine who are new here find interesting and very cool considering it instantly forces the person who you're addressing to familiarize with you in a way that's socially acceptable which is a sure icebreaker here. Kon Lou Mee, yum.   In terms of food, as much as my Mom and I struggles to figure out where to eat, there are actually a lot of varieties of food you can try. We have roti canai thats perfect for a nice light break...

So far in 2014

Slowly learning to take pictures whenever I want. This is the old structure infront of Suria Mall, currently turned the display for cool graffitis. Feeling adventurous, I had to take some shots. Here are a few that I took for the past few months, visually updating you on a few of my activities and my photography skills ehe. Lanterns up in Gaya Street during CNY. Getting ready to explore Korea after settling in our rooms. On a bus to the Cruise.    "Have you check out the buffet Tati?"   Celebrated a good friend's birthday at school and a few shots with the school's very own DSLR that I borrowed. YAY. A team campaigning for Student Council by giving students some cool stickers. And that concludes my short update on my life. I hope you enjoy them! Bye all.
