Haul+Review: Beauty Care Edition II

THE FACE SHOP GREEN TEA FACE MASK
The cool thing about masks from The Face Shop is that you can find ones that are real cheap, like around RM6 cheap. Of course for one sheet you may think it isn't exactly a steal but in comparison to most brands in drugstores like Watson and Guardian, its far better. There is also something non-sticky and easily absorbed about their formulas that makes this a treat from mother nature herself. This one is meant to soothe irritation and revitalises your skin. I usually stock on this when my face is having its occasional red breakout and it does its job decently. Better if you popped this out from the fridge. My skin feels really nice to the touch and I always feel a sense of satisfaction when an ugly bump shrinks down considerably.

MEDIHEAL I.P.I LIGHTMAX MASK
This one offers, you guess it, brightening effect with some moisture enhancement. I specifically used it on a very particular busy day where my skin just felt exhausted and dull. It did it's job and my skin look rejuvenated from the day's hustle. I also heard a ton of good things about Mediheal masks, especially in the Korean market which all the more made me wanted to try their variety of masks. I wouldn't say this stood out to me from their other products in any particular way but it did what it was intended to do and that's enough to give me a satisfying review on it.

THE FACE SHOP SOLUTION SMOOTHING FACE MASK
The Face Shop's The Solution Line is a far more expensive line of sheet masks as compare to the one before. Unlike the usual from-nature-itself  packaging its other product tend to focus on, this line is much more science forward. If you're skincare fluent, then you know there are far more ingredients out there with skin specific functions like BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), Hyaluronic Acid, Retinol and many more. You might think that all sounds complex and too much to get into if you're not familiar with what they are but it only takes a bit of thorough research or even a talk with a dermatologist to figure them out. This mask for example achieves smooth and soft skin because BHA aids acne-scarred skin and exfoliates dead cells. Hence why it works wonders for those with acne prone skin and can be often found as other acids like Salicylic Acid. Whenever I know there is any event where my skin needs to be at its best, I make sure to stock this up into my fridge a week before. Even certain type of chemicals is needed in our skincare and if you can figure out what and how much is needed for your skin type, you be surprised at the overall result of your skin. So have no fear readers, I encourage you to check this line out for any of your beauty troubles.

THE FACE SHOP MASCREAM FIRMING MASK
I don't remember much about the price of this one but I don't think it was far from the last mask sheet which was about RM17. This I think came from a more cream based line of masks and definitely something I suggest if you're looking for something richer in texture and effect. I decided to give it a go but like everything that is heavy in texture, my skin just didn't benefit. You could end up over moisturizing yourself sometimes if you're not careful considering your lifestyle and skin type. I do highly recommend this to someone with really dry skin or aging skin as I think it does the job of really maintaining your skin elasticity and moisture. It just may be too much for my type of skin though.

Tune Favourites

Hey guys. Just a quick correction from my previous post, its not mist, its a haze. Thanks to my ever loving brother for pointing it out. If there is something wrong with my post for me to check out, really feel free to comment on it! So as I said, lately its been a very laidback weather here and these are the songs that carried me through it. I might not be able to list all but just click here and you can find the rest on my SoundCloud. It's been awhile since the last Tune Favourite  and that means I've been listening a ton. 1. "Here" by Alessia Cara (Lucian Remix) This has been basically the soundtrack for my August and even now I can't but be so floored by this singer's voice. I discovered her from a youtuber I follow and never regretted the decision to subscribe to her Vevo channel. While the original is the stuff, I love how it was remix here and every decision made to create it is so spot on. Do check out her other singles like "I...

Newness

For those new to my blog, hi and thanks for stumbling here (whether accidentally or not I am grateful). If you generally want to know me, check out my profile so you know what you're in for. For those who knew about this blog, if you haven't noticed, I've made a few changes and this post entails the reason. I'm finishing high school and to be honest, I have no plans on my education past that but we'll eventually have to. However, I decided to take up on writing more despite the on coming responsibilities. I plan to write reviews, expressing my thoughts on  books and movie and the like. Post some outfits as well, just need to work on being able to pose head to toe whenever and wherever I can. So there's thing in my head that will be published in the future and so with that in mind, I decided to change the name (yes *Douglas, I can see you your smug smirk), look and give it slightly more clarity as to what I will post and what are they all about. It...

Into The Woods

Happy Belated New Year! I'm back in Seattle from Oregon, Portland, with so much to say and stories to share but just to attempt to start my blogging streak, here is my review on the recent movie of the musical "Into The Woods". Note: I'm no expert on movies, I consider myself kinda easy to amuse despite my habit of checking rotten tomato critics. And yes there are spoilers. Onto the review! Its about a 2 hour long movie but for a total movie and musical fan like me, it was worth it. Watching it with my cousin who is also a musical lover like me at Cedar Hill's Theatre was a thrilling and wonderful experience. The prologue starts with an introduction to the main fairytale cast, narrated by the character, The Baker, himself. Based off Brother Grimm stories which haven't quite been commonly known among society, it takes you to another altered dimension from the mainstream and happier version of the classic stories we grew up knowing. The ball Cinderell...
