Aside from Valentine's being just another thing used to rob us of our cash and doing something special for our significant other (though you don't need a special occasion as reason to do that), I like to propose a different angle, especially for those who aren't in a relationship. Take this time to be your own special someone. Or to show some love to those in your life like your parents, best friends or anyone special to you outside of romantic means. Valentine's day should not be the reminder that you are or are not dating someone, it should remind you that you have someone in your life who have taught you how to love.
